BNP Candidate List for Bangladesh 13th Jatiya Sangsad Elections

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Monday revealed its candidates for 232 parliamentary seats ahead of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the provisional list at a press conference at the party chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on the evening of November 3. He emphasized that the list is subject to revision before the final submission of nominations. “This is not the final list. Some changes may occur after further review,” Fakhrul told reporters.

The announcement confirmed that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will contest from Dinajpur-3, Bogura-7, and Feni-1, marking her symbolic return to the electoral race.

Members of the BNP Standing Committee and joint organizing secretaries attended the press briefing, where Fakhrul read out the candidates’ names and stressed the party’s readiness for what he described as a “critical election for the nation’s future.”

According to party sources, the BNP nomination board finalized the list after weeks of internal screening and consultations with divisional leaders, considering grassroots recommendations and candidates’ political experience.

The announcement underscores BNP’s growing momentum as major parties begin unveiling their strategies and candidate lineups for the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections.
