== Plot Overview (Spoiler-Light) == The film opens with a haunting flashback to the early days of the Rage virus outbreak. Fast forward 28 years later, humanity is scattered and isolated, with most of the world in ruins. On the remote island of Lindisfarne, a small community has survived by living cut off from the mainland. At the heart of the story is ''Spike'', a 12-year-old boy living with his parents—''Jamie'', a scavenger, and ''Isla'', who is bedridden with illness. As part of a coming-of-age ritual, Spike joins his father in venturing onto the mainland, where he encounters both horrifying infected and unsettling truths about human survivors. The film introduces evolved versions of the infected, known as “Alphas,” who are faster, stronger, and more intelligent. As Spike faces terrifying challenges, he must make choices that blur the line between survival and morality. The story ends on a note of both loss and possibility, leaving the door open for the next chapter.
