=== Early Life and High School Career === Caitlin Clark was born on January 22, 2002, in West Des Moines, Iowa. Raised in a sports-oriented family, Clark showed an early interest in basketball. Her father, Brent Clark, was a former basketball player, and her mother, Anne Nizzi Clark, played college volleyball. Caitlin was drawn to the game from a young age, and her talent quickly became evident. During her time at Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Caitlin became a local legend. She led her team to state championships and set numerous records, including Iowa’s high school career scoring record. Her skill set was unique—she was a deadly three-point shooter, a versatile playmaker, and a fierce competitor who could dominate both ends of the floor. By the time she graduated, Clark had established herself as one of the top high school basketball players in the country. Her high school success earned her a scholarship to the University of Iowa, where she would go on to become one of the most exciting players in college basketball.
